How A-Level Rank Points are calculated

New University Admission Score (UAS): the current framework maxes at 90 points (three H2 at 20 each, GP 10, Higher 1 10, Project Work 10, Mother Tongue 10) versus the 2026 framework capped at 70 points, with Project Work switched to pass/fail

Your University Admission Score (UAS), or Rank Points (RP), is scored out of 70. The base is your three H2 subjects (each up to 20 points) plus General Paper at H1 level (up to 10) — 70 in total.

You can also include a 4th content subject (H1) and your Mother Tongue (H1). When these are added, the wider total is scaled back to the 70-point scale (×70/80 with a 4th subject, ×70/90 with 4th subject and Mother Tongue) and capped at 70. Your final RP is the highest of the combinations — an extra subject can only help, never hurt.

Grade points above are taken from AspirerTutor's own A-Level scoring reference and follow the standard University Admission Score framework. ⚠️ Admission depends on more than RP (subject prerequisites, aptitude tests, interviews). Always confirm the current rules with MOE and the specific university before making decisions.
